ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A food and clothing drive in Allentown Sunday afternoon aimed to make sure homeless in the community are stocked up for the winter.

People and local organizations came out to the 400 block of Martin Luther King Drive.

The donations were distributed to people who live in the so-called tent city in that area.

“Winter clothes, blankets, hats, gloves, scarves. We got hot food for them. We have canned food for them. We have bottles of water,” said Christina Smith, with  Operation Address the Homeless of the Lehigh Valley.

The group says they accept donations yearround.
